About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Spanish

The goal of the authors in writing this manual was to make guidelines on amphibian monitoring readily available to field workers in Latin America, particularly those who might not have prior experience with amphibian monitoring. The manual is meant to accompany the book Measuring and Monitoring Biological Diversity: Standard Methods for Amphibians by Heyer et al. (1994), but the authors have specifically targeted this manual towards people working under the conditions particular to field work in Latin America. Groups interested in starting a monitoring program should read this manual first for a quick introduction and guidelines for designing the program, and consult the Heyer et al., book for more depth in particular areas of interest.
