About this book

The Península de Paria is the easternmost extension of the Cordillera de la Costa, a chain of mountains extending eastwards from the Andes for nearly 1000 km to form a ridge across the northern portion of Venezuela and into Trinidad and Tobago. This area is recognised as a centre of bird endemism, but it also suspected to have a rich herpetofauna, although many species are not yet described. This laminated fold-out guide describes 26 frog species known so far.
