A list of botanical names in current use for wild plants in New Zealand, as used by the Plant Herbarium CHR at Landcare Research in Lincoln, Canterbury. The list is based on the current revisions of the Flora of New Zealand volumes I - IV (1961 - 1988), and includes revisions up to 31 December 1995. Gymnospermae, Monocotyledonae (except grasses) and Dicotyledonae are covered. Each listing includes the current scientific name, authorities, common and/or Maori names if recorded, relevant Flora or journal reference, a distribution guide, and an indication of taxon status.
