Invasive Alien Plant Species of Gujarat also provides an exhaustive list of 387 exotic plant species found in Gujarat. The list will help the environmental managers to keep track of the probable species that might become invasive in near future. The Gujarat Biodiversity Board has created a Biodiversity Management Committee for promoting conservation, sustainable use and documentation of biological diversity. In addition, a People's Biodiversity Register has been made to register comprehensive information on availability and knowledge of local biological resources. The information on the invasive species will assist the Biodiversity Management Committee to eradicate alien species from the region. The need of the hour to is to eradicate alien invasive species and conserve the indigenous species.
