Volume 2 of this book series presents new taxa different from those in the author's previous books. Included are 76 new species and subspecies from Vietnam, 25 new species and subspecies from Laos, 15 new species and subspecies from Indonesia, 8 new species from Thailand, 5 new species from Cambodia, 4 new species from Myanmar, 4 new species and subspecies from China, 1 new subspecies from Sri Lanka, 1 new species from Timor Leste, and 1 new species from Japan. This number of new species consists of 21 marine shells, 8 freshwater shells and 111 land snails. The remaining species are added as they are first records in Vietnam or stand out for their attractive colours, nice patterns, beautiful shapes, giant sizes, hybridization, rarity or abnormal shell coiling. Each new genus and new species or subspecies is presented with its scientific name, locality, size, habitat, diagnosis, description, comparison, colour photos and registration number at museums of the world.
