This hill areas of the Darjeeling district are located within the lesser and Sub-Himalayn belts of the eastern Himalayas. Its spider fauna has not yet been studied comprehensively, and the published information is lacking compilation and comparative descriptions altogether to visualize the abundance and diversity of this fauna. This study is a first step in that direction.
