This monograph surveys the myxomycete flora of the Regensburg Area: including the highlands of the Bavarian Forest. A total of 202 taxa (185 species and 17 accepted varieties) are documented here, one of which is new to science. Twelve species and two varieties are new for the former Federal Republic of Germany (BRD), and 24 species and three varieties are newly recorded for Bavaria. Two new taxonomical combinations are proposed. Distribution maps are given for the 49 most common species.
