Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal. It was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. This book is a record of the observations of the wildlife, with the authors putting the park's diversity into a common theme. Various chapters treat the flora and fauna with descriptions. The first chapter covers the abundant historical biodiversity, from the early days of hunting to current-day conservation efforts. In other chapters, the authors discuss species ecology and behaviour, plants and animals, and then a series of observations on the myriad diversity of life in this park.
