Designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the Shropshire Hills extend from the Wrekin to the Clun Forest, and from Stapeley Common to the Clee Hills. This dramatic and at times wild landscape is a haven for wildlife, rich in history, but is relatively poorly known, even within the West Midlands region.

Written by Pete Boardman of Shropshire Biodiversity Project, and produced in partnership with Shropshire Hills AONB, the National Trust and Natural England, this new 12-panel chart will be of interest to all visitors to the Stiperstones and Long Mynd.

It features colour illustrations of some of the key birds, plants, mammals, insects and other animals that you are likely to see. Text on the reverse describes the geology and landscape of the Hills, with further information given on the long-term human impact and on current land management.
