A total of 596 species belonging to 142 families of herbaceous flora have been enumerated, out of which 83 species having 34 families represent fern and fern-allies and the remianing 513 species with 108 families belong to the Angiosperms. The book records some very interesting species as regards to their diverse economic and ethnobotanical features. Lastly, the book includes reports of some new, rare and threatened species.
