The first record of Odonata from the Indian state of Meghalaya was made by Selys and Hagen in 1853 (Lahiri 1987). Lahiri (op. cit) compiled as well as studied the available materials from the state and reported 147 species and subspecies. Prasad and Ghosh (1984a) described one species which Lahiri did not include. Recently, the Zoological Survey of India has undertaken a project to study the fauna of the state. In this connection a reassesment of the fauna of the state is being made. Works so far published, or under preparation, do not contain information on detailed geographical distribution of any taxon, or information on zoogeography.
The present paper is a continuation of the project "Fauna of Meghalaya". It contains detailed geopraphical distribution information of each species and subspecies, previously scattered in the literature, and a discussion on zoogeography.
