Lichen Flora of Assam is a comprehensive taxonomic account of 300 taxa of lichens belonging to 83 genera and 26 families supported by 2 maps and 180 colour photographs. Identification keys at different hierarchy have been provided in order to facilitate their identification. The genera under each family and species under each genus is arranged alphabetically. Taxonomic description of each species is followed by distribution in the world as well as in India and specimen citation. It is hoped that Lichen Flora of Assam will be helpful in studies of lichens in the north-eastern part of India and also play a great role in preparation of database of lichens of the state of Assam, north-eastern India and India as a whole to various stakeholders
