On the blog: What’s new for 2017 - Trail camera news

The days are getting longer and the clocks are set to British summer time here in the U.K. With the arrival of the warmer weather, our local wildlife is also becoming more active and now is a great time to set up a trail camera to see what’s going on in your garden or local outdoor space. If you’re lucky you may even spy young animals emerging from their burrows for the first time.

In this article we will take a look at some of our new and favourite trail cameras for 2017.

New books at NHBS
Dave Goulson is the founder of the Bumblebee Conservation Trust and Professor of Biological Sciences at the University of Sussex. Bee Quest describes in charming detail the author's travels in search of the world's most elusive bees, from Salisbury plain to the Sussex hedgerows, from Poland to Patagonia.
Looking across politics, economics, and biology, All the Boats on the Ocean casts a wide net to reveal how the subsidy-driven expansion of fisheries in the Pacific during the Cold War led to the growth of fisheries science and the creation of international fisheries management.
This generously illustrated book is the first history of the garden and arboretum for more than a century, and provides an essential introduction to one of Oxford's much-loved haunts.
