The ninth and final volume, following on from the volumes published in 1988, 1990, 1992, 1995, 1997, 2000, 2004 and 2010, contains a treatment of 7 families, the most comprehensive of which are Cyperaceae and Poaceae. In particular, the Poaceae family represents one of the most important families in the world economically, and cereals, especially representatives of the genera Avena, Hordeum, Panicum, Secale, Triticum, and Zea, are among the most important food sources for humanity. This volume includes a taxonomic and chorological treatment with karyological, ecological and coenological characteristics of 397 numbered species (and a number of unnumbered species listed in the Notes) belonging to 91 genera of 7 families of monocotyledons. The text is supplemented with 120 full-page pictorial plates. The volume was compiled by 33 authors from almost all major botanical institutions in the Czech Republic. The main coordinator of the nine-volume Květeny ČR was the Institute of Botany of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic, in cooperation with a number of other major botanical institutions.

Devátý svazek, navazující na svazky vydané v letech 1988, 1990, 1992, 1995, 1997, 2000, 2004 a 2010, obsahuje zpracování 7 čeledí, z nichž nejobsáhlejší jsou Cyperaceae a Poaceae. Především čeleď Poaceae představuje ekonomicky a hospodářsky jednu z nejdůležitějších čeledí světa a obilniny, zejména zástupci rodů Avena, Hordeum, Panicum, Secale, Triticum nebo Zea, se řadí mezi nejdůležitější potravinové zdroje lidstva. Poslední svazek Květeny zahrnuje taxonomické a chorologické zpracování s karyologickou, ekologickou a cenologickou charakteristikou 397 číslovaných druhů (a řady nečíslovaných druhů uvedených v Poznámkách) patřících do 91 rodů 7 čeledí jednoděložných. Text je doplněn 120 celostránkovými obrazovými tabulemi. Na vypracování svazku se podílelo 33 autorů téměř ze všech významných botanických pracovišť ČR. Hlavním koordinátorem devítisvazkové Květeny ČR byl Botanický ústav AV ČR ve spolupráci s řadou dalších významných botanických institucí.
