A 150 km long stretch of the coastline of Berwickshire and Northumberland is protected as a European Marine Site to preserve the amazing wealth of marine life found here. This colourful booklet for divers and anyone interested in the coast is a celebration of the abundance of species.

The feel and appearance of this book are a pleasure from the start – it is packed with beautiful underwater photography. It is well laid out and full of useful information, and an excellent introductory guide to the marine life of the area.
Although not it's primary purpose, I have found it more useful practically than marine taxonomy books – because it (mostly) avoids unnatural plain white photograph borders, so the eye can balance colours just as it would underwater. Also there are more comparison photographs per page, and it concentrates on the main species.
If that wasn't enough, this book is a real bargain.
