The 100th title on the T & AD Poyser imprint, The Common Buzzard, represents a new direction for this highly respected series of ornithological reference works, with publication both as a classic, white-jacketed hardback and as a paperback, featuring a stunning wraparound artwork by Alan Harris.
Poyser was founded in 1973 by Trevor and Anna Poyser. It quickly gained a reputation for publishing definitive, often ground-breaking monographs, often focusing on a single species but sometimes covering broader ornithological themes. The imprint moved to A&C Black, part of Bloomsbury Publishing, in 2002, and Bloomsbury remains proud custodians of this cornerstone of the ornithological literature.
