Ecology Account Manager 

Location:- Totnes

 

NHBS is looking for an Ecology Account Manager to join our busy Sales & Marketing team in our office in Totnes. You will act as Account Manager for our biggest customers (spanning ecological professionals, university researchers, conservation NGOs, field workers, construction companies and libraries), make regular sales trips and represent NHBS at ecological conferences in the UK and across Europe. A background in sales is not required but an enthusiasm for nature and NHBS products is key. You will work with passionate people and receive both formal training as well as on the job mentoring from your manager. Once trained you will understand each part of the business so that you can best advise customers and nurture relationships.

 

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Building relationships with existing and potential customers
  • Using the company CRM application - Netsuite - to keep track of customer quotations, orders and queries
  • Working alongside our Customer Services team to make sure our customers receive the very best service
  • Visiting existing and potential customers, selling the brand of NHBS
  • Proactively building great relationships with potential customers
  • Learning how to use key equipment and demonstrating and presenting products for customers
  • Attending conferences, networking with attendees

Accounts Administrator

NHBS has a full-time permanent opportunity for an Accounts Administrator, with enthusiasm for ecology and conservation, to join a small accounts department.  With a primary focus on accounts receivable responsibilities, the Accounts Administrator will interact with NHBS customers: corporations of all sizes, academic institutions, charities, trusts and private customers, in the UK as well as Internationally. This role also offers opportunity to work across the wider accounts function in collaboration with existing team members. The successful applicant will be supported in developing product and industry knowledge in order to better understand our customers.

This full-time permanent position is based in our office in Totnes.

Responsibilities

  • Working with the Sales team to build and maintain robust and sensible credit control systems and procedures, to be applied with discretion across a diverse customer base
  • Investigating and resolving customer payment issues, over the phone and by email
  • Reporting debtor KPIs to management
  • General accounting duties, to include bank reconciliation, invoice processing, payment acceptance and other duties as required

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confidence in engaging respectfully in challenging conversations
  • Knowledge of the Conservation Sector in the UK
  • The ability to work well both within a team and independently

Desirable experience and skills

  • Accounts Receivable / Credit Control / Sales Ledger experience
  • Experience with accounting or retail management software
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel

Salary: £18,135 (moving to £18,525 upon successful completion of probation period) , based on a 37.5 hour week Monday - Friday, with the position attracting 28 days holiday pro rata, including bank holidays. NHBS also offers each employee up to 3 paid days for Conservation volunteering each year.

Marketing Coordinator (Maternity Cover)

NHBS is looking for a Marketing Coordinator (maternity cover) on a 12 month contract to join our marketing team in Totnes, the post holder will report to the Head of Customer Relations & Marketing. 

You will need to be well organised to coordinate the production of marketing emails, creation of printed fliers, production of paper catalogues and oversee our digital marketing presence. In any given week our adverts run in magazines, our emails reach thousands of customers and our printed fliers, catalogues and newsletters land on hundreds of doormats. The Marketing Coordinator oversees all these strands to make sure deadlines are met and our marketing is on-brand.

This is a great opportunity for a well-organised, quick thinking individual with an interest in marketing and nature conservation.

Applicants will be expected to adhere to strict Covid safety rules in our office including 2 metres plus distancing at all times, use of Facemasks and/or Visors as required, and observance of all other Covid guidance provided.

Your responsibilities will be:

  • Coordinating the production of different strands of our marketing campaigns (emails, fliers, printed catalogues, print advertising, online advertising, website campaigns, blog content and social media content)

Customer Services Advisor - German/English Bilingual

We are looking to hire someone who is bilingual (German/English) to work in Customer Support. The position will have a full-time permanent contract and will be part of the Customer Services team in our main office in Totnes. Processing any returns and basic refunds and credits
