About this book

This book aims to present an overview of two groups: hornworts and liverworts of bryophytes. It is an outcome of several years of research on bryophytes made in different regions of Nepal. Altogether 552 species of this plant have been included in this book, which also includes some published records of the National and International bryologists made in different periods of time. Although the study of bryophytes in Nepal was initiated long ago by Wallich in 1832, still many parts of the Himalayan region remain unexplored.
