This twin-DVD set shows wildlife film producer Paul Wetton's travels around the British countryside in 2012. The broadcast-quality footage shows approximately 2 hours of British wildlife .

The diary begins in Hampshire on a cold January morning searching for a Spanish Sparrow, followed by an afternoon in the New Forest watching a vagrant Dark-eyed Junco from America. The diary continues through the year showing local aspects such as the beautiful Peak District and more distant regions like the coasts of Norfolk and even over the Scottish border in Fife. The final trip of the year was to Rufford Country Park where many common wintering birds showed themselves well at makeshift feeding stations.
