About this book

When you think about it, what do you really know about sharks? Do you think of them as dangerous, human-hunting beasts? Sharks are actually quite gentle creatures, and their diets definitely don't include humans. We're not nearly tasty enough for them. In fact, out of all the animals in the world, sharks are probably one of the species that pose us the least danger!

In Michael Stavarič's brilliant new instalment to the Amazing Ocean series, learn all about these fascinating and misunderstood creatures. Did you know that there are over 520 species of shark? And did you know that there are some cultures, like the Hawaiian culture, that worship sharks as gods? Filled with funny descriptions and vivid illustrations, Amazing Shark is a delightful journey into the world of the ocean's guardian.

Originally published in German in 2024 by Leykam as Faszination Haie: Wächter der Meere.
