Alarming accounts of disappearing and deformed amphibian populations have been making headline news with pictures of grotesque frogs and reports from scientists visiting once healthy ponds only to find them absent of amphibian life. Leading amphibian biologist Raymond D Semlitsch has assembled experts from around the world to explore how much of these stories are real and how much are media hype.
