BRASWELL is deputy director for operations at the Museum of Natural Sciences. JOSEPH C. MITCHELL is an independent ecologist and head of Mitchell Ecological Research Services, LLC. WILLIAM M. PALMER is curator emeritus of herpetology at the Museum of Natural Sciences. JACK DERMID lives in Wilmington, North Carolina. The late JULIAN R.
