BatLure Spinner

About this product

This is a new and innovative device that is designed to work with the BatLure in order to increase your chances of successfully enticing bats to an area such as a new roost site, survey area or mist net. The BatLure Spinner is comprised of two ultrasonic loudspeakers that have a mirror mounted between them. The mirror spins on an axis so that the sound emanating from the speakers is reflected away and scattered, resulting in greater variation in the signal. Research suggests that bats appear to be more attracted to this scattered sound because it generates the illusion that the source of the sound is moving, this leads to a higher rate of capture. The power for the BatLure Spinner is provided by the BatLure itself.

N.B. In order to use the BatLure Spinner, you must have a BatLure from the series BL1715001 or later, running firmware TAG 20190227 or a more recent version.
