About this book

Language: Norwegian

Botanikkens Historie i Norge is the first book that describes the development of the discipline botany in this country. It builds on many years of scrutiny of sources arising from the initial clues that Norway's ancestors carved into the stone until 1964, 150 years after Norway got its first professorship in the subject in Norway.

The book is illustrated with much original material found in archives and herbaria. It is intended for students on basic courses in biology and botany, but one need not be an expert to read it. Botany buffs will enjoy the book as well.
