This Catalog of the Eriophyoidea includes all eriophyoid mites known to the authors on a world-wide basis as of August, 1993. In addition to the catalog, indices are provided to the species names of eriophyoid mites, to host plants, and to the vernacular names of host plants. A synopsis to the Eriophyoidea and references to the taxonomic literature are also provided.

Replacement names are provided for one genus (Chakribartiella for Neocatarhinus Chakrabarti, Ghosh and Das, 1992) and 17 species as follows: (all replaced names were preoccupied) Aceria channabasavannai for Aceria crotalariae Channabasavanna, 1965 on Crotalaria juncea (Leguminosae); Aceria cortii for Aceria baccharidis (Corti), 1917 on Baccharis salicifolia (Compositae); Aceria hassanii for Aceria minutus (Hassan), 1928 on Cercocarpus sp.
