About this product

CATWatch Ultrasonic Cat Deterrent is the only cat deterrent that is endorsed by the RSPB. The deterrent works by emitting an ultrasonic alarm, which is triggered by the cat's movement and body heat. The frequency emitted will not have an effect on humans or other garden wildlife such as hedgehogs. The CATWatch can take up to four weeks to become effective, especially when placed in a cat's established territory. The CATWatch has a detection area of 12 metres in front of the sensor and the ultrasonic sound is effective up to 16 metres away. The CATWatch is powered by a 9V battery (not included) (duracell batteries are recommended) but can also be connected to the mains using a 12V mains adapter which is available separately. The device has a spike so that it can be pushed into the ground. Although the device deters cats it does not cause them any harm.

  • I am so pleased , my bird life is back :)
    By Dominic 4 Jul 2019
I bought one CATWatch a few months and admittedly only installed it recently, I am annoyed I left it so long as the results of keeping my neighbour's pesky cat at bay were seen shortly after. I am happy that slowly but surely my bird life is returning now it's a safe zone.

Plus have rabbits outside and was concerned cat would possibly attack them also, since put in garden cats have not returned hooray!!!!

Thank you to NHBS for recommending me a product that lives up to its promise.

  • Excellent British Made product
    By Tracy 22 Aug 2020
Very pleased with this recent purchase that deters cats without harming them. I purchased the optional mains adaptor rather than relying on batteries. All the cats that were coming into my garden have gone. No more cat mess and no more dead birds. Highly recommended.

  • Its an amazingly successful product!
    By Daniel 8 Aug 2022
I laughed with a certain joy when the cat put its nose right up & close to the CATWatch. At first, I'm like, damn. But then I saw the cat jump a mile into the air from the device. And I'm like, DAMN! That cat had totally avoided it for maybe 2 months, came back & got scared. I haven't seen that or any cats since. After wasting time & $ I'm finally free of hunting for a way to solve my cat issue.
