This report draws on records from various sources including Birdtrack, BTO, major site reports, website records, ringing reports and, of course, records from individual observers. This publication is the only document to bring all these records together on a County basis.
The county list now stands at 366 with the addition of Hooded Merganser and Black Stork. Also included in the report are articles on the Blue-winged Teal at Neumann's Flash; White-Winged Black Tern at Ashton's Flash; Hooded Merganser at Melchett Mere, Tatton Park; inland observations of Purple Sandpiper in Cheshire; and Cuckoo activity at Rostherne Mere. There is the usual detailed listing of Early and Late Dates for Migrants and the BTO Online Ringing Report for Cheshire and Wirral in 2021.
