He is one of the leading experts on insect and macro photography in the UK. His articles and images have been published widely in photographic and natural history publications and are regularly used by various well-known societies and organizations throughout the UK and Europe. His photographs have been used to promote Mamiya's medium-format cameras both in the UK and Japan. In addition to his own work as a photographer he regularly lectures on photography and natural history subjects, as well a leading tours and conducting photographic workshops.
