About this book

Revised edition of the monographic treatment of the smaller Odonata, the damselflies, of North America. Includes all known species from Alaska to northern Mexico, and including the Greater Antilles, a total of 168 species.

All species data and keys have been carefully revised and corrected by Prof May.

The colour supplement illustrates 155 species with full-colour images taken from nature, and shows both males and females. Most images are greatly enlarged and arranged four to a page to show the important colour patterns of the head and body to full advantage for field identification.
