The Large NHBS Electrofishing Net is designed for use with an electrofishing backpack when conducting electrofishing surveys. It has a pentagonal net head measuring 350 mm in width and a 1.22 m wooden handle covered in rubber insulation, which ensures a good grip even when wet and prevents the conductance of electricity when in use.

The net bag is made from soft, woven fry-mesh and has 5 mm aperture holes. It is attached to the frame with strong hook and loop fastenings and can be easily removed for washing or replacement. The bag has a depth of 500 mm to ensure all catch is safely retrieved from the survey area.
