About this book

Language: English

From the preface:

"[...] a really splendid work on that most spectacular group, the orchids, also the product of local expertise. D.B. Gurung has shown great dedication over a long period and has had to overcome numerous difficulties (such as limited library resources) in achieving it. It is therefore the more rernarkable and I am sure that, as he hopes, his outstanding photographs will enable the easier and more accurate identification of orchids than has so far been possible. I very much hope that he is allowed the opportunity to reach those parts of the country that still require exploration, so that he can bring the total number of Bhutanese orchids up to his expected 500 species."
