"I am installed in the attic occupied for a few years by a small group of Long-eared Bats. Night has now fallen. Everything is black. However, thanks to an infrared lamp, I see on the screen of my defiltered camera a few individuals going back and forth under the ridge of the roof."

Yves Bilat has thus patiently developed a shooting technique that minimizes the disturbance of bats. Little by little, after multiple attempts, he achieved his goal: to take photos of bats in flight, in freedom and without prior capture. These highly aesthetic images allow us to discover animals that we have never seen before. Striking portraits on the one hand, but also animals in their environments attuned to the rhythm of the seasons.

Yves Bilat a ainsi patiemment mis au point une technique de prise de vue minimisant le dérangement des chauves- souris. Peu à peu, après de multiples essais, il a atteint son but : Réaliser des photos de chauves-souris en vol, en liberté et sans capture préalable. Ces images d’une grande esthétique nous font découvrir des animaux dont tout nous échappait. Des portraits saisissant d’une part, mais aussi des animaux dans leur milieux au rythme des saisons.
