Details research at quarries near Halnaker, West Sussex, which led to the discovery of a thigh bone up to 500,000 years old belonging to Boxgrove man - the oldest human ever found in Britain - together with flint handaxes and other tools which provide a clear picture of hunting and butchery techniques in the later Middle Pleistocene.
