About this book

Language: English with English, Chinese and scientific nomenclature

The first volume of this book series included a total of four classes, 32 orders, 386 families, 3147 genera, and 10,106 species. The second volume included a total of four classes, 29 orders, 357 families, 2681 genera, and 8385 species. This volume includes a total of four classes, 5 orders, 231 families, 957 genera and 763 species. In presenting the taxonomy, the same style as in the previous two volumes was followed. The four Class system of Hexopoda was considered. In recent years, the rapid development of systematics and phylogeny made apparent that the accepted classification system was unstable. Especially where there were any inconsistencies at higher taxonomic levels such as at the level of family and order. However, this only underscored the need to correct and revise the definitions of and memberships within taxonomic families in accordance with the latest research results. In this case, there will be a chance some species in the book were arranged in a family that is different from the one published in the original article. In the same style as the first two volumes, subfamily level was not considered and high-ranking taxa were arranged according to the system order. The genera and species were arranged in alphabetical order.
