If the predictions of atmospheric scientists on global warming are realised, the mean change in temperature of the Earth's surface will rise by several degrees - a warming that is likely to trigger a series of changes affecting the hydrolic regimes of entire regions. This book analyses the nature of predictable changes and their potential biophysical impacts in relation to agriculture and examines what practical adaptations might be undertaken to prevent or overcome any adverse impacts.
