Darkfield microscopy is a simple contrast technique whereby the sample is shown against a black background instead of a white field. The increased contrast it affords makes it useful in the examination of various orgamisms, particularly those that are transluscent such as algae, plankton, and soil mesofauna.
This plug-in attachment is compatible with the Motic B1-211E-SP compound microscope. It is easy to use and install, and requires no further accessories.
