About this book

Language: German

The morphology and mode of life of the Eurasian coot – a very common bird, but very little known in its nature – are presented in this volume according to the state of the latest biological science and illustrated by black-and-white photos. Particular emphasis is placed on the decline of the palaearctic waterfowl world and on the problems of protection and winter reserves.
