Biography

Dr Alexis Willett is a science communicator who aims to make science accessible to all. She has a PhD in biomedical science from the University of Cambridge, where she studied at the Medical Research Council's Human Nutrition Research unit. She's taught human physiology and published on a wide range of health subjects. Alexis spends much of her time turning cutting-edge research and health policy jargon into something meaningful for the public, patients, doctors and policymakers. In her spare time, Alexis drinks a lot of rooibos tea.

Her first book, How Much Brain Do We Really Need?, with Jennifer Barnett, was published by Robinson in December 2017.
