About this book

Language: French

Jebel Uweinat, a large mountainous Saharan massif isolated in the Libyan desert, has been explored in detail by an interdisciplinary Belgo-Libyan mission led by the author. This sixth and last part is devoted to the phytosociological and phytochorological analysis of the fifteen plant communities encountered. The author demonstrates how the vegetation succeeds in adapting to interpluvial periods of several years.
The previous volumes (1-5) can be found as articles in the journal Systematics and Geography of Plants.
