About this book

Language: Bilingual in English and Chinese

The main body of Hong Kong Bird Report 2005/06 is taken up with the Systematic List 2005-06 which covers the 402 Category A species recorded in Hong Kong during the period. The list includes the following new records for Hong Kong; Japanese Cormorant, Lesser White-fronted Goose, Orange-breasted Green Pigeon, Ruddy Kingfisher, Rosy Pipit, Sulphur-breasted Warbler, Narcissus Flycatcher, Ortolan Bunting, Olive-backed Sunbird and an unidentified Pterodroma petrel.

There is a review of species' seasonality in Tai Po Kau, a forest reserve, and a note on young Collared Scops Owls.
