The book Magyarország Harkályai has been published by the Hungarian Ornithological and Conservation Association (the MME or Magyar Madártani és Természetvédelmi Egyesület). This approximately 500-page volume presents all nine Hungarian woodpecker species in detail. The volume also contains many other interesting chapters, ranging from the fauna of woodpeckers to the introduction of the researchers who described each species. The volume helps to make the individual topics easier to understand with many photographs and diagrams. Most of the 24 authors of the book are experts from the MME Woodpecker Conservation Department.

Az MME kiadásában megjelent a Magyarország Harkályai címu könyv. A kereken 500 oldalas kötet mind a kilenc hazai harkályfajt részletesen bemutatja. A kötetben számos további érdekes fejezet is megtalálható a harkályok oslénytanától, az egyes fajokat leíró kutatók bemutatásáig terjedoen. A kötet sok fényképekkel és ábrákkal segíti az egyes témák könnyebb megértését. A könyv 24 szerzojének többsége az MME harkályvédelmi Szakosztályának szakértoibol került ki.
