Explains the complexity of five dimensional climate change (space, time and the human dimension) with an emphasis on its principal aspects and practical consequences as well as the interconnection between environmental problems of global, continental and national scales. Special emphasis is given to the outcome of the Rio Conference and subsequent UN conferences in Cairo (population) and Copenhagen (social problems) dealing with global climate warming issues in the context of environmental dynamics.
