A must-read

I have known the authors personally because I have worked under them. I am also one of the authors of this book. I highly recommend this book, not because it is a book dear to my heart, but because every researcher who has worked hard for the completion of this book knows that this book is going to help researchers to pursue further studies and applications related to the staple crops that we need to feed the world. Studies presented here on rice, cassava, banana, sweet potato and taro are indispensable in the pursuit of knowledge to enhance food production and sustainability. The very popular polyphenols these days have been studied by the authors several years back so they are very well-equipped with knowledge on this. Utilization of by-products of cassava and rejected bananas is also included in this book. Many people may not be aware of rice allergy of which the culprit is a group of rice proteins. These are explained quite clearly in this book. I believe that every food researcher or biochemist must have this book as a guide.
