Biography

Chris Dixon grew up in West Wales, and studied at Manchester and Amsterdam, before gaining a doctorate in botany from the University of Vienna. He now lives with his partner and their son in Oxford. In 2017, he published A Guide to Britain's Rarest Plants, and he has been the BSBI's vice-county recorder for East Gloucestershire (VC33) since 2018. Since 2022, he has worked as Senior Curator of the British and Irish Herbarium at the Natural History Museum in London.
