Ireland’s National Biodiversity Records Centre collects records of all the plants and animals found on and around the island of Ireland.
Established in 2007, the National Biodiversity Records Centre publishes easy-to-use guides to Ireland’s grasses and Ireland’s stoneflies, together with a series of identification ‘swatches’ - screw-bound pocket guides, which look and open a little like a small fan, covering things such as trees and shrubs, butterflies and ladybirds.
The National Biodiversity Records Centre, in Waterford, is part of the Global Biodiversity Information Facility, which enables users throughout the world to share data on biodiversity.
