About this product

This MP3 DVD contains more than 1000 different recordings of the sounds of almost 500 bird species, a few mammals, cicadas and soundscapes of Myanmar's diverse habitats. The South-East Asian country, formerly known as Burma, is the largest in the region, stretching from the southern coast on the Tenessarim Peninsula from 9 degrees as far as 28 degrees North in the Eastern Himalayas. It covers many different bird habitats, such as snowy mountains in the Eastern Himalayas, dry and tropical forests in the lowlands, as well as mangroves, coastal mudflats, inland wetlands, and the majestic Ayeryarwaddy River in the centre of the country. The included booklet details species, location and date for each recording.
