Stunning collection of photographs from brothers Anup and Manoj Shah. They concentrate on the Serengeti-Masai Mara regions in Kenya and Tanzania and chronicle the life and death on the savannah of a variety of animals. Amongst those captured on film are lions, giraffes, wildebeest, elephants, gazelles, zebras, hippos, hyenas, and baboons.
Brothers Anup and Manoj Shah grew up in Kenya, East Africa, where they spent many hours watching wild animals roaming in their natural environment in nearby Nairobi National Park. They were educated in England at Cambridge University, but their powerful attachment to Africa never lessened, and they soon returned to Kenya, where they turned their love for its land and wildlife into successful careers in wildlife photography. In the nine years since deciding to work as a team, they have taken four to five trips out into the field a year. Both brothers have received many photography awards, and their photographs have appeared in numerous magazines including National Geographic (Anup's photographs of chimpanzees appeared in the April 2003 issue).
