About this book

Language: German

Unmodified print-on-demand reprint of a book originally published in 1998.

Belemnites were predatory cephalopods that inhabited the oceans in the Jurassic. Usually only the arrow-shaped rear parts of the shell fossilise. This volume describes the belemnites known from Southern German Jurassic deposits with their currently valid nomenclature and systematics. Zoologists and geologists, as well as committed recreational palaeontologists will appreciate the easy-to-use determination tables and the many photographs.
