About this book

Language: German

This book is an updated and revised version of the publication of the Naturwissenschaftliche Vereins für Kärnten Fische, Neunaugen, Flusskrebse und Großmuscheln from 2002. The Austrian state of Carinthia is a watery region with a great variety of streams, rivers and lakes. It is therefore not surprising that a large number of creatures exists in the native waters, 65 of which are described in this book. In addition to the fish, there are 7 river crustaceans and 5 large mussel species. Over 185 high-quality colour pictures and 66 distribution maps give the reader a comprehensive insight into the underwater world of Carinthia. With the help of the keys of determination and the informative texts, the book serves as a valuable guide to both fishermen and other nature lovers.
