About this book

Language: English, also available in German

An entertaining personal account of a small group of enthusiasts planning and carrying out a winter tour in an area of East Greenland remote from human habitation. They travelled mainly on skis but with dogs and skidoos taking a part, from a starting point at the Inuit settlement of Ittoqqortoormiit on the north side of Scoresby Sound. Climbing and taking many excellent photographs, they covered the entire length of Liverpool Land, pulling their supplies on small pulkas.

With pages also on relevant local information, this is a useful guide to exploring this particular part of East Greenland and is a fine example of just what can be achieved by a small but well-organised group of people.
